8 Sept. 2007 success after 5 years of hard
training since taking 2nd Dan.
It has finally came around, the day that I've been working towards
for months now, performing in front of Brian SeBright 7 Dan the
head of the BKA in Manchester.
The grading was extremely tiring, taking much longer than any
other grading before, and with Brian really putting me through
my paces, having to perform all through the syllabus and beyond,
5 rounds of pad work using hands and legs, 10 kihons, 7 Katas
The comments that Brian made at the end were very encouraging,
stating how much he enjoyed our style of fighting.
I would like to say a real big thank you to my Sensei (Fiz Gordan
5 Dan) for not only coming up to Manchester for the day to support
me, but for all the time spent dedicating his time to help me
in the pursuit of this latest achievement. (Thanks Sid)
Also a big thanks goes out to my bother Gerard Thomas 2nd Dan
for coming to Manchester and helping me out on the day in partner
Sid Gordan will be attending our class shortly to present me with
my Sandan certificate.
